Summer Learning Journey

(Summer Learning Journey)

I wouldn't change my name because my caring parents made it for me so in that case I'm going to wear it with pride!

But if I could change my name but still keep my present one I would change it to Patrick :D

Summer Learning Journey

(Summer Learning Journey)

(Job)   My dream Job is to be a Doctor. My Dad actually says to me "Doctor, lawer, or plummer. Only three things" By the way he's not strict about it.

(Help)   I think my Mum and Dad might help me to become a doctor because if I struggle, don't know what I'm doing, or just stuck I think that they are the people that will be there for me but my Dad always said to me "Life always has challenges, challenges that are unexpected, challenges that are hard , and challenges that can be defeated."

Summer Learning Journey

(Summer Learning Journey)

My class and I was in Creative-space, some was working their butt off while some just ethier talking a lot to friends or playing hand games. I was concentrating in the detail in my work, while beside me was my friend Willy doing the same as me. Mrs Lagitupu was came over to Willy to do his voice-over for his movie.

Willy was shaking in fear.  Willy was doing well in his voice over when suddenly he couldn't read a word! Mrs Lugitupu was pressuring Willy with this sentence *"Come on Willy. Just read the word!"* Willy started crying. Mrs Lugitupu actually pushed Willy!

I couldn't just sit there and listen, I got vocabulary and said "Mrs Lugitupu I feel like you are rushing him.  Why are you rushing him? Look you made him cry." Mrs Lugitupu replied  "(Sigh) I don't got time for this!" I made Willy feel better. We got back to work. Suddenly in the background I here from Mrs Lugitupu "It's alright don't rush".

With a tear of joy sliding down my face

my brain tells me to keep my pace

but with excitement and joy

my pace fades and with my shoe unlaced then

me and the moon come face to face.

Summer Learning Journey

(Summer Learning Journey) Please think about your own culture. Where does your family come from? What is important or special to you and your family? What language do you speak?
On your blog, please tell us about your culture.
I am Samoan and Cambodian. My Mum's culture is Samoan (It's very hot in Samoa, I would like to go there some day (again). Samoa has coconuts, bananas, Kasava, and a lot of other stuff. My Dad's culture is Cambodian. The foods in Cambodia is wicked to the usual food in Auckland. I speak Cambodian and Samoan, mostly Cambodian. Something special about my awesome family is that when ever they want something the work hard for it)

Summer Learning Journey

(Summer learning journey)   Imagine that you were invited to join Nainoa for three weeks at sea. You are asked to pack your own food. List 10 food items that you could take on the trip. Remember you will not have a fridge or freezer!
On your blog, post your list of 10 food items you would take on an ocean voyage.
1. Mango (I would take a mango because it is high in fibre also it has vitamin A, C , and E)
2. Coconut (Why a coconut you might say, it's because the fruit coconut has a high percent of calories it also can improve your heart health)
3. Potato (A potato is one of the foods I would take because it is a long lasting
food and it has vitamin C like the Mango. Potato has fibre, that fibre helps with the amount of cholesterol in your blood)
4. Water (I would take water because water keeps me alive and it keeps me hydrated)
5. Kasava (It has vitamins and minerals, and it is another long lasting food)
6. Pig, chicken (The animal named pig has a lot of vitamins. It has vitamins A B C and K, Chicken is a lean meat, witch means that it doesn't have that much fat. It actually helps you lose weight.)
9. Fish (Eating fish every 2 weeks is a healthy diet. It has vitamins D and B2)
10. Eggs (I chose eggs because it has protein and it can last for 3 weeks

My Favourite Highlights of the Year

Athletics is one of my favourite and exciting highlights of the year because I got to compete with other schools. And I got to do all of it with my friends. We got to wear awesome sports gear.

Prize-giving is coming up soon! The year four boys are practicing Prize-giving. It was my favourite highlight because I got to be the Prize-giving leader!

Athletics day, it’s athletics but everyone does it! It was another favourite highlight of the year because we got to do different kinds of sport. Like High-Jump, Discus, and Tugger-war.

Hoyts is the place where my school and I went there for Manaiakalani day. It was awesome because I got to be a presenter for my ‘The Boy Who Lost His Mind’ movie.

My Mum and Dad got watch me and my movie too at night.
