Summer Learning Journey

(Summer Learning Journey)                              Sorry not a short story
I say that because the SLJ says I have to make a short story

*A Day In WWIII*

Late in the morning I here cop cars sirens. Sometimes in distance I even hear gunshots from ak47's. One day I was woken up from my worried Mum telling me to pack my bags. I asked why? but she just said to hurry. I slowly leaned over with my heavy eyes and I gaped at the clock. I noticed that it was one thirty in the morning. I went downstairs to brush my teeth. My brother had done the same as me and packed his bags. Meanwhile my Mum was packing all the food supplies and all the water in the kitchen cupboard. I didn't believe that we were just going to leave everything and just leave the city.

Mum put the car key into the car's key hole. The Master Demio started up with rage. The engine roared, then roared louder than all of a sudden it stopped and something exploded. The car bonnet looked if it was producing steam but it was the broken engine's steam phasing through the small gaps between the car bonnet. Mum tried to start up the car engine again but it roared even louder. Mum got out the car and checked the engine. One of the fuse's that was connect to the engine exploded while Mum had started the car. I poked my head out the open window and asked once more "Why are we leaving Mum?" but she just said "Son I'll tell you later, we don't have the time".

We had gone back into the house to search for a new spare fuse in a fuse box deep in the basement. My brother whispered to me "Hey, is it just me or Mum is acting weird?" I was thinking to much about where we were going so I just whisper back "Yea...".  Just as the time Mum found a new working fuse we could hear gunshots but not just gunshots from the distance the gunshots were right on top of our basement. We could also hear tanks slowly moving across the ground on top of us. As the tank move across pieces of dirt rained down from the ceiling. Mum told us to stay quiet.

We had stayed in the basement for eleven hours and the war is still going. Sparingly we eat our food and water Mum had packed. We hear rockets traveling over our house. While I was eating my dinner Mum finally told me why we were leaving. "Son, this is why we were going to leave it's because I didn't want to be stuck in war" Mum told me "How did you know it was coming?" I asked "I was watching a movie twelve hours back at night and the News disrupted my movie the News said to abandon our houses and leave the city we are getting disturbances from France.

Were they going to die in that basement from no food and water supplies or are they going to escape their destroyed city?
