Swimming With Turtles

I feel the soft force of salty sea water hitting against my exposed body, as I swim calmly with peaceful green sea turtles. I follow the beautiful turtles out near the massive waves. The sun fades as I look down into the deep blue sea. A cold chill runs down the back of my neck onto my spine, when I notice that I was in the ‘deep end’. I panic. I wave my arms around to get notice of the lifeguard as I sink like the titanic with no control of my panicking emotion.

The Strange Creature

As Miss West raised one of her hands to show the mysterious creature, warm sweat

dashed down my sticky cheek. My eyes bulged out with quite tremendous speed. My

mouth hangs open, dripping slimy saliva.  My teeth clanged together at a high speed. I

thought to myself that by now I would faint in shock, but I didn’t. Miss West handed

the creature to me for a better look. I felt so uncomfortable. The creature smelt

disgusting, like a moldy egg mixed together with off milk. I almost passed out right

then and there. I turned around to not see the creature at all. All of a sudden, I felt a

slimy gooey tentacle grasp my shoulder. My brain exploded. I gazed at my right

shoulder. I saw it. It looked like a deformed squid mixed with a giant slug. The squid

inked all over me and the slug slimed all over me. It was a nightmare. I ran home scared

not to be seen again. 

Three-Eyed Snake!

This stunning snake was found on a live highway in the Northern Territory, along the sides of the rusty metal barricade. It was also found in the town of Humpty Doo. A long way from Darwin. This was placed in Australia.This viral snake was three months old and had the length of forty centimeters long when it was found by rangers. “I wonder how it would see through it’s three-eyes.” One ranger said.

The Mysterious Box

(Chapter 1)

Surroundings 

The leaves under my gumboots crackled every step I took. Grandma’s tree had so many
holes in the branches that when the wind blew in a good angle, the tree’s branches sounded
like a beautiful high pitched flute. As I kneeled down to the ground smothered in leaves, 
I spotted a hard working caterpillar chewing at the edges of a green growing leaf. At first
I thought it wasn’t ok that it was killing a green growing leaf, but then I noticed that it
was part of nature. It was normal that it was chewing off an innocent leaf, because it was
made to. 

(Chapter 2)

Digging Deeper Than Ever

I grasped the garden shovel and shoved it into the soft soil. As I pulled on the shovel
with speed and strength soil flung into the air creating a huge dust cloud. I coughed and
sneezed a lot. As the dust vanished into thin air you could see me standing there next
to a hole about ten meters deep. 

(Chapter 3)

The Mysterious chest

Suddenly I spot a real treasure chest! I use my dirty hands to grab the rusty handles.
I struggle to hold the mysterious chest. The weight on it was outstanding. I place the
box carefully onto the ground with relief. I saw a padlock locking the chest to not be
opened by anyone. But then suddenly grandma got a sledgehammer out of nowhere and smashed the chest into so many pieces. In the chest I saw a letter reading ‘If you found
this you just got pranked! HA! 

Choc Fudge Brownie

Choc Fudge Brownie 

Ingredients: 

2x eggs 

1x butter

1x choc chips

1x bag of sugar

1x flour

1x bag of nuts

1x bag of icing sugar

Recipe: 

Turn your oven on and set it to low, let it warm up. Neatly, mix the butter and

chocolate chips into an appropriate bowl for oven usage. Place the butter and chocolate

chips on the hot stove carefully. Stir to prevent chocolate sticking. When it is nice and

smooth make sure to take it off the oven, leave it to cool. Crack two ripe eggs into a

clean new bowl then add the sugar. Mix until thick and creamy. Pour in the chocolate

mixture into the bowl filled with thick and creamy goop and also add the flour and nuts.

Leave it in the oven for 30x minutes. Cut it into small squares. Dig In!

A Nice Dragon

Weak moldy bricks fall at a high speed from a rotten wall, connected to a massive castle
guarded by deadly mouth breathing dragons. The gross bricks smashed into the lush grass
creating a huge thud followed by a deep unwanted creator. Price Yonder always had begged
his rich Dad, King Harald for a baby dragon to raise for himself, and so his deadly and
probably last wish had been granted by his generous Dad. Prince Yonder bottle fed the
small dragon ever since. “I’m gonna name her Zelda” Prince Yonder told King Harald. 

Every day passed by and a small dragon turned into a ginormous healthy dragon. Prince
Yonder and Zelda were bested of friends. Everytime Prince Yonder would wake up, Zelda's
warm stinky breath invaded his unprotected nostrils. He would wake up with stinken
delight. Prince Yonder stroked his pal hand across Zelda’s rough skin. “You're a beautiful
dragon, girl” Prince Yonder tells Zelda. 

One time a dinner came to the table, but it wasn’t cooked for an odd reason. “Sir Johnson,
why are our steak-and-huge meatballs not being cooked by the chiefs, the family and I are
starving!” King Harald demands. “Sir, it’s a misunderstanding, the chiefs didn’t cook it for
a reason...” “What is the reason” King Harrald buts in. “...Your son decided to show you his
monstrosity” Sir Johnson tries to get out of the conversation, thinking that he might get
into big trouble. “ Prince Yonder snatched a huge pitchfork off the dirty ground. He then
forcefully stabbed it into one of the cold meatballs. “Son what do you think you are 
doing?” King Harald asked Prince Yonder. Prince yonder completely ignored him and went
to the tippy top of the castle. “Zelda, Zelda! Where are you? I need you to do something.
” Prince Yonder looks for Zelda. Zelda peeks from behind a huge tower.
“Oh! There you are.” Prince Yonder tells himself. “Fire!” Prince Yonder yells.
“Son! What are you doing?!” King Harald shouts from behind Prince Yonder. “Oh! You
scared me Dad. Don’t do that!” Prince Yonder tells King Harald. Zelda widened her big
mouth and started to breath hot flaming fire. King Harald jumped back in fear.
Surprisingly she was cooking the huge meatball Prince Yonder was holding. “Now we
have dinner!” Prince Yonder Shouts.

Dear Mr Burt,

Kia ora Mr Burt, I would like to give you a huge thank you for helping out on the kayaking activity. You helped me learn the sport kayaking. I really enjoyed it so I made this thank you poem to you! Hope you enjoy it, like how I enjoyed the kayaking. Thank you Mr Burt!

As I brush across the freezing cold waves, in a kayak smothered in sand, I feel thankful for how Mr Burt taught me how to drive and control a real kayak. I frisked my dark hair in the cool wind. My mind is full of confidence and exploration. My mind tells me to explore but my body pulls me back telling me to stop.

Reality or Dream

It was freezing cold outside, colder than a freezer, small snowflakes rained down from

the dark night sky, the only light was the gloomy moon. Dan and his thirteen year old son

decided to explore a scary old abandoned subway station. Silentness followed them in the

pitch black darkness. Dan had remembered that he had bought an old flashlight he had

found in his attic. The click of the flash scared his son, Dan’s son felt like not breathing

for a minute. Billy, Dan’s son was getting very paranoid that someone was following them,

but he looked behind and no-one was there, all he could see was just darkness and the

footprints that his Dad and him were making every step they took. 

 A few minutes felt like hours to them. They had made it the old creepy subway station.

Everything looked ruined. There were patches on the moldy roof, glass on the rundown

train was shattered, there was almost tagging everywhere on the walls. Billy didn’t really

feel comfortable the same as his silly Dad that took him there in the first place. Suddenly

a strange robo arm snatched Billy’s T-shirt, his T-shirt got tight from the grip of the hand.

Billy screamed from the top of his lungs, strangely his Dad didn’t notice. The mysterious

arm forced Billy into the old train causing Billy to smash into the wall head first and to get

knocked out. He could hear a noise of a person saying “Keep your arms and legs in the

vehicle, starting the countdown. Five, four, three, two, one lift off.” 

Billy woke up in shock. His eyes almost came out of their sockets. He breathed heavily.

He hesitated for a bit and noticed that he was on his biggest fear, the *FearFall*

Along with him was his Dad and his scared Mum. His soal felt like it was getting pulled

out of his body. He realized that he passed out and he just awoke from it. He didn’t

know if that was reality or a dream.

Who inspires me!

I think that it’s awesome to be inspired because kids and adults can learn to be like the
person that inspires them. To youtubes, to singers and a lot of other amazing people!
The catch is, that people that inspire others can change/up their life a lot! Have you or
are you inspired by someone?

My Mum is very special to me because she is very kind and how she always puts other
people first instead of herself. What I like about her is how she pushes me to be the
best! My Mum is the best.

My Mum has been such a big influence in my life time, all the way back when I was just a
baby! When I'm knocked down she will pick me back up, when I struggle she will help me.
I wouldn’t know if I lost her.

Being a real life firefighter

Being a real life firefighter

Charred trees turned into lots of microscopic black pieces of dust that vanished into thin
air creating a strong smell of charcoal. Red and orange fire smothered the tall grass on
the small hill nearby. Innocent animals run for their lives leaving their newly hatched
babies behind in the  massive flam. I could feel a wave of warmth passing me each time
I went toward a massive flame of fire.

Medics dash to the injured animals, giving them the best water they could find and to wash
the wood ash off their thick fur. I was exhausted, every time I put out the huge fire with
my long fire hose it always came back but bigger and scarier. Afterwood the Medics would
put the sad helpless animals in the Medic truck filled with other animals and rushed them
to the animal care centre.

The animal care centre was packed with scared, shocked and injured animals. Animal care
employees worked there hardest to either keep animals alive or to keep them safe and
sound.

Talofa lava, my name is Jin. My cultures are Cambodian and Samoan. I am year five. I was born in New Zealand. I love the color green. My favourite food is cheese and garlic pizza from Pizza Hut, mmm the stringy cheese and the garlic that gives it that delicious tang. It just melts in your mouth, and the tomato sauce mmm.
